OPTIMISM – LESSON FIVE
Friday MARCH 27TH, 2020
Optimism – Noun – Hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something. When you wake up in the morning, do you feel hopeful about your day? Do you think of all the good things that could happen to you at home or school? If you spend more time thinking about the good things that might happen and less time thinking about the bad things, you are probably a pretty optimistic person.
It’s pretty easy to feel happy after something good happens, like when you do well in martial arts class, when you get a good grade or when you finish all of your chores. Optimism is a lot like happiness, but the biggest difference is that optimistic people are happy because they are sure something is going to go well, even before it does. Being optimistic about things can help you do better. When we work toward a goal with a good attitude, it makes the work more fun and helps us all do our best.
